How to inspire and captivate your participants.
No matter whether you have only participated or were the organiser yourself: Most of you have already had your first contact with virtual events. As far as you can tell, the content was sometimes more, sometimes less interesting, the speakers knowledgeable and the live stream stable.
But how "engaged" were the participants throughout the event? Did they interact at all, and if so, how can you quantify those interactions? When running an online event, it is not always easy to encourage engagement and interaction with participants sitting behind their screens.
The free Event Engagement Session is designed to help you understand how to engage participants in a variety of ways, what tools you need to do it and how to get the most out of it for you and your participants. For this, we have divided our experts into 6 exciting sessions. Time for engagement!
Here you can view a selection of our recordings and presentations by the speakers.
AKI HERTLEIN & FLORIAN KÜHNE
How do I get started with virtual events and what can I do to make my event a positive experience for the guests and not just more time in front of the screen?
Social Media Engagement (Slides)
Likes, followers, shares, hashtags and comments are the digital currency of today. Mia's session showed how to deal with it and get the most out of it.
State of Event Management Report (Slides)
In this session, participants learned how to create an industry report and offer it as gated content.
Find out which trends you should pay particular attention to in 2021 and what else awaits you from MATE's CEO Florian Kühne.
How to interact with your participants before, during and after the event and keep them engaged.
You can look forward to the following programme!
3:00 pm: Engagement through wvent wellness activities
June Nardiello shows you how to activate your participants through movement with a 15 min session of Business Yoga.
3:15 pm: Event engagement session
How to activate and inspire your participants
How do I get started with the topic of virtual events and what can I do to make my event a positive experience for the guests and not just more time in front of the screen? Our panel talk with Aki & Florian is about precisely these two questions. The two young CEOs form a charismatic pairing of two worlds: Event and Software. They will give you an exclusive insight into user experience, networking and virtual event setup. Learn how to safely take the first steps towards a virtual event, how your participants actually become part of the event instead of just visitors, and get valuable expert tips for a captivating virtual event.
5:00 pm: Future tools for participant engagement
Speaker: Florian Kühne
2021 promises a big step forward for digital engagement of your participants. Find out which tools you should pay particular attention to here and what else awaits you from MATE's CEO Florian Kühne.
Session room 1:
4:00 pm: State of event management report 2021
Was dahinter steckt und wie Sie Ihren eigenen Industrie-Report erstellen
Speaker: Oliver Edwards │OHED
Industry reports are a reliable source of information for the industry. They not only help the reader to keep track of the industry, but also provide reliable forecasts, trends and opinions of the leaders. For the publisher, they serve as a useful marketing tool to gain more reach. In this seminar, you will learn how you too can create a report and offer it as "gated content".
4:30 pm: How to promote engagement through digital tools
Speaker: Christian Schulz │ MATE
Session room 2:
4:00 pm: Social media engagement for events
Speaker: Mia Vassiliou-Gioles
In this seminar, social media expert Mia Vassiliou-Gioles teaches you how to maximise attendee engagement through social media before, during and after your events. Your guests need to interact with your brand - also on social media! Likes, followers, shares, hashtags and comments are the digital currency of today. Mia shows you how to use it and get the most out of it.
4:30 pm: Ideas and tools for more interaction at online events
Speaker: Katrin Taepke │MICEstens digital
If you want to keep participants engaged at online events, you have to bring them into the action live instead of just giving them sound from the front. In this session you will learn what you can do to get your participants involved. Of course, this includes session chat, surveys, polls and Q&A rounds - but there are many more ideas. Let yourself be inspired.
