Testing Emails in the Editor: Here's how it works

Julia Walther Updated by Julia Walther

Testing emails is an essential step to ensure your messages are optimally received by recipients. To make this process easier for you, the Sweap email editor offers a practical testing function.

To use the email testing function, open the email editor and click the "Test" button. A dialog window will open, where you can configure the test options.

Send test mails from builder
Step 1: Specify multiple recipients

You have the option to send your test email to multiple recipients at once. Simply enter the desired email addresses into the designated field, and confirm each email address by pressing the Enter key.

Step 2: Select a guest for placeholders

The second step allows you to select a guest from your list whose data will be used to fill the Liquid placeholders. Alternatively, you can use one of our provided test guest data sets. All recipients of the test email will see the message as if it were specifically personalized for the selected guest.

With Sweap's test function, you ensure that your emails are correctly personalized and reach recipients as intended. In addition to personalization, you can also verify the layout and design of your email to ensure everything looks as it should before the final send.

Please note that the emails may be displayed differently depending on your browser and email provider. If the email is in your spam folder, there is no need to worry! The reasons for this can be very diverse. More about the possible reasons as well as tips for reducing the probability of spam, you can find out here.
