Create guest salutation with our salutation assistent

Julia Walther Updated by Julia Walther

If you configure a new salutation using the "Create salutation rule" field, it will be added to the list of all salutation rules. The standard rules that have already been stored in advance thus remain in place despite new, manually configured salutation rules.

There is also a second way to quickly create a salutation rule. This is done with the help of the so-called Salutation Assistant, which enables you to quickly create a new salutation rule from suggested values.

If you create a new salutation rule using the Salutation Wizard, all pre-installed standard salutations are overwritten and only the newly created rule is applied.

How to create a new salutation rule using the Salutation Wizard:

You can find the Salutation Assistant under Communication -> Salutation

The following window opens:

You now define the following 3 steps for the quick configuration of a salutation using the Salutation Wizard:

  • Which form of address should be used? (for example Love(r), Moin or Servus)
  • Which guest information should be used by the system (for example, salutation or title)
  • Punctuation marks at the end of the salutation (for example, comma or exclamation mark)

If you then click on the "Create salutation rules" button, the configured rule will be created, replacing all other pre-existing rules.
