In this article, we’ll show you how to edit a guest record in the guest list.
Customizing the data of a specific guest
If you want to edit the data of a specific guest within your event, simply click on the respective guest. This will open the guest data dialog (popup) containing all relevant information.
Inside the popup, you’ll find four sections displaying the guest’s data:
- Fields
- Companions
- Email log
- Tickets & Check-ins
Fields
The Fields section (guest fields) stores the information associated with the guest.

We distinguish between "default fields" and "custom fields".
default fields are predefined by the system (such as first name, last name, email, or status).
You can find everything you need to know about standard fields here.
By the way, only the field “RSVP status” is marked with an asterisk (*). This indicates that it is a mandatory field.
The RSVP status is the minimum required information when creating a new guest record.
You can find more information about the RSVP status here.
Custom fields are fields created specifically for your event or account. These can represent a wide variety of information or queries.
Information on how to create guest-specific fields can be found here.
Additionally, you’ll find information on how to create guest fields here.
You can read more information about additional options of the action field here.
Companions
Under "Companions", you’ll see all companions linked to the main guest, including their first name, last name, and email address (if available).
You can manually add an Companion to a guest record. To do so, click “Create companion” and enter the relevant details.
Please note that our system will automatically assign the RSVP status of the main guest to the Companion.
You can change the RSVP status manually if it differs from that of the main guest.

The Companion will then be listed here with the corresponding data.

You can find detailed information on how to create and manage accompanying persons here.
Email log
The Email log shows you all communication that has taken place with the selected guest.
Here, you can see which emails were sent to the guest and their current delivery status.
You can find detailed information about the email log and the corresponding status messages here.
In addition to viewing past communication, you can also send another email to the guest from this section.
To do so, use the Email sending assistant, which allows you to quickly access all emails created for the event and send them to the guest.
You can also access the full email log from here, which displays the delivery statuses for all guests – not just the selected one.

Tickets & check-ins
Under Tickets & Check-ins, you’ll find the QR code associated with the guest for check-in.
In addition, you can view any check-ins or check-outs that have already taken place and also check the guest in directly using the Check-in button.
Once a guest has been checked in, you can either perform a check-out or delete the check-in.

Edit multiple guest records at once
Using the Actions button, you can change a specific piece of information for multiple guests at once.
Please note that the value you want to change must be the same for all selected guests in order to quickly and uniformly update the data.
You can find more information about the Actions field here.
